Security, flexibility, simplicity and tax advantages are key to all contributions made through the Community Foundation of Portage County. 100% of your gift goes to your interest area and remains in perpetuity.  The earnings do all the work!

Gifts can be made in a number of ways:
  • Cash, check or credit card to an existing fund
  • Appreciated stock to an existing fund
  • Name a Community Foundation Fund as beneficiary of a life insurance policy
  • A gift of personal property
  • Bequests
  • Other planned giving strategies (Check with your financial advisor or attorney for the situation that best fits your unique situation.  Planned giving establishes a way for a donor to make a larger gift than they thought possible as in many cases, it reduces estate taxes.)
